This is an actual correct encode of Betterman as the old one isn't in the right aspect ratio, and had the video cropped and then bloated in size among a few other things. Granted, the quality of the DVDs aren't very good, so this is the best you'll get unfortunately. And like usual, I included the extras that came with the DVDs which include some production art, info files and random anime trailers.
At any rate, you can see some comparisons between my encode and the older one below. Enjoy!

@meatyvonpopsicle, it's because I turned off my PC and went to bed, dummy. I don't use seedboxes so don't expect a constant seed. Then again, I do have to use my internet for other things like gaming where I can't seed at the same time. Just give it some time and it'll be done eventually.
I don't know about the other release, but something is wrong with this one. It's 630x480 not 640x480 and it looks like this for me: https://i.imgur.com/KNAKZZQ.jpg
Well, duh. The black lines at the side had to be cropped off, and I'm not the kind of person who would stretch the video back to 640x480. Anyway, there's supposed to be black bars at the top and bottom (in the video), and at the side when you go full-screen. Nothing can be done about it. The video source is like that because reasons.
@xPearse, that is unfortunate. I can deal with black bars on the top and bottom, but on the sides too? That's too much for me. It ends up looking too damn small unless I manually stretch it or something.
"Nothing can be done about it."
What about cropping off the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, and leaving the video at something like 640x360 or 720x400? That's what groups in the past have done with similar sources like Vandread, SaiKano, and Zaion, and I don't see how it damages the viewing experience or makes the overall quality worse. Though I can understand not upscaling back to 480p the way SSP-Corp did.
There is a workaround in MPC that will produce screen-filling video on a 16:9 display -- set the "Video Frame" function to "Touch Window From Outside," and use xyVS-Subfilter or whatever to change the vertical margin on the .srt subs to 45 or higher.
