Slowly but surely, through their active duty, they find a new breed of vampires beginning to arise." (ANN) The original Hellsing TV series. Which has one of the best soundtracks in any anime series ever. Tsundere has been releasing their own R2J rip and there's nothing really wrong with it (even if the benefit of upscaling is debatable) but it's now been 9 months since their last episode (8), so it's looking uncertain when or if they will finish it. The R1 release is a complete mess to IVTC, which is why I don't think any properly IVTC'd release of it exists. The R2J one was much less problematic in this regard, and had nearly perfect quality overall. **Video/audio notes:** Just IVTC and aa, otherwise video is completely untouched. Since it was so clean, it compressed well enough that I went with crf14 and still the video data size was only in 90MB-130MB range for the most part, the last episode went up to 230MB though (for obvious reasons). As the video data size was no problem, I went with untouched 448Kbps AC3 audio (75Mb audio data per episode), after all the soundtrack deserves it. **Subtitle notes:** R1 DVD subs retimed line by line, with typo/grammar fixes here and there, plus other small edits. Also "Arucard" renamed to Alucard, and "DDollneazz"/"Ddolnnezz" (lol) to Dornez. ED lyrics were added, but there was no point to add OP lyrics since the Engrish in it is just gibberish. Which is also true for most of the other songs in the soundtrack, but for some of the more sensible/coherent ones I added in-episode lyrics. Also added untranslated lyrics to (the German version of) Solveig's Song, which appears 1.5 times in the series. -X
