Hey all,
Here's a new and improved batch for Bungou Stray Dogs. It contains many fixes and corrections including, but not limited to, character names, ability names, episode titles, and OP/ED lyrics/styling.
Big thanks to Alice Monaco for proofreading.
Hope everyone's hyped for S3 on the 12th, we'll be subbing it so be on the lookout for that.
If anyone intends to do a BD, or even remake an existing BD with these subs, lemme know if you need anything from me for it.
Hi @arvon2. Is there any updates for Drifters: The Outlandish Knight if your joint collab with Some-Stuffs will happen? Or maybe you can try contacting Bakemono-Subs if they also have interest in collabing with you in this OAD 'cause I think they've done Drifters episode before?
Thanks for the upload arvon2--appreciate your efforts to improve this release just before S3 begins--sets the stage for what follows. Thanks for hosting, Nyaa.

Not yet, probably won't get around to it until after BSD S3, or at least until after May, but I won't forget about it.
@done4fun @DestinoAzell
Thank you for the kind words.
I quite liked the manga but BONES really dropped the ball on the anime.
An action series with mediocre-at-best animation. Not exactly a winning recipe.
So is there anyone out there kind enough to make a BD version of this?
I did it myself a while ago with some raws, but I had to go through every episode retiming the subs because they were completely off in some parts but also fine later in the same damn episode. My raws must have been slightly different to the TV version in timing.
So because there's no way I can be bothered going through all that again, it sure would be nice if someone else with more time/experience/professionalism could make a Blu-ray version that we all could enjoy. Thanks in advance if you do!
@Rowdy91 - unless there have been actual edits, a program called sushi can fix timing discrepancies between sources. https://github.com/tp7/Sushi/releases
@Rowdy91
Check out Sushi: https://github.com/tp7/Sushi
From the last batch to this one, the majority of the changes are in the dialogue, so you can just paste over the dialogue into BD subs which are already timed correctly.
There are a few places where lines were joined, but they're easy to spot with a diffchecker or just noticing that there are a different number of lines. Other than that, the OP1/ED1 lyrics are slightly changed (episodes 1-12, 24).
So adapting these subs to BD shouldn't take too long, you definitely won't need to re-time the whole thing. Shoot me an email if you wanna talk about it more.
I just learned about Sushi from this thread so I decided to try it out with Episode 1 of this batch and Episode 1 of the VCB-Studio BD raws.
Sushi perfectly timed everything and it only took like 6 seconds. It's very easy to use. The problem I had was the video resolution being different. 720p for this vs 1080p for the BD. The subtitle fonts and stuff didn't scale properly.
I have almost literally no experience with editing subtitle files in aegisub so I don't know how to fix this. I tried setting the video resolution to match the BD resolution which didn't change anything and I also tried the feature to resample it for the new resolution which made the fonts larger lol.
I don't necessarily need step by step directions but any help to push me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks for the batch!
Edit: I know I can manually change font sizes but was wondering if there was an automatic way to do it, instead.
@RedHawk02 Sushi breaks the signs bcz signs are framed based timing where as sushi does audio based timing. If it works for you it's fine. As for that issue just open the sub in aegisub and load the video and a pop up will open up saying to resample the subs, select the video resolution and save the subs
@gsk_ I actually did already do the resampling and it made the fonts much larger. Idk if that's how it's supposed to work but that's what had happened.
Unfortunately, yeah, the signs aren't timed properly anymore. I noticed that while watching through. It's not *too* bad but it's noticeable enough to bug me sometimes. Any way of batch fixing signs between two different video sources?
@RedHawk02 Yes resampling does that increases the font size, blur, pos etc to the new resolution. Nope can't fix signs in batch you have to manually time them.
