The green tint is an ongoing issue that's affecting a lot of releases. Why it's on Super Broly, it's anyone's guess. It's also on the DBZ TV SP2 too, for some reason.
TOEI takes 2 steps forward and 1 step backwards.
I assume Toei is doing the green tint deliberately to better match the color palette of Dragon Boxes that generally suffer from faded colors due to aging film, resulting in a visible green tint as well as reds being overpronounced.
The tint is a weird error in their pipeline. Their web version of the DB movies weren't green, yet once they'd been cleaned up and pushed through to home release, they had the same tint found on things like this movie and Kai The Final Chapters. Similar problem with this release - seems to depend where the master was generated. Apparently the same thing happened with Battle of Gods in some countries; green tints everywhere.
NOOOOO!!! You guys don't get it. The green tint is actually Broly's aura throughout the movie, and his aura is so immense that it's starting to spread in all Dragon Ball related media. That's what it is!!

Deliberately adding a green tint to their content... I have now seen everything from toei.
Don't even feel like supporting Dragon Ball releases anymore due to the nonsense of the green tint and the dub-fied subtitles. I might buy the Spanish Blu-ray of Super Broly but don't know if it has green tint too. ?

Nobody knows. It depends if Toei bothers to fix the issue and send a new master to Funimation for them to start selling instead of the current release with the green tint. I think it's a tad unlikely so the closest thing to a v2 will be the MangaUK version which has been confirmed to have no green tint. So wait about 6 more weeks for the BD to come out in the UK and await a rip from the UK version. It will have the Funimation dub and Japanese voices but NO green tint. If you want to watch this now and don't care about English, go download the screener that leaked back in February.
@NobodyLovesMalus Yeah, that seems unlikely, but does the "Manga UK" version refer to the Amazon UK leak or an unreleased UK Blu-ray? This (https://nyaa.proxyfix.me/view/1135224#com-22) post made me think it was in reference to the Amazon rip. If that didn't have the tint, I assumed someone would've added the audio/subs from the Blu-ray copy. I only like watching DB in English, so I think I might stick to the Blu-ray rip for now. I probably wouldn't've noticed the tint if comparisons weren't posted, but now it kinda bothers me haha
It's actually a pretty easy problem to fix... I'm not doing it right now cuz I don't have spare time... All you have to do is change the hue and saturation level a bit... Increase the blues slightly and wallah u have the green tint gone...
@ourcore: Both. The Amazon UK leak does not have the green tint, and MangaUK has confirmed that their Blu-ray release will not have a green tint either. It seems as though Toei sent Funimation and MangaUK two different versions of the master for the movie, so anything with MangaUK at the beginning should be how the movie is to be seen while the Funimation logo at the beginning means the movie is tinted green.

Hey all, I merged the 1080p non green-tinted video from the leaked MangaUK torrent (from this torrent: https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1118266) with the 5.1 English audio from the Funimation release that I time corrected (from this torrent: https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1135762)
The audio is FLAC 5.1, just like the original. I extended the audio length by 0.1% (which is the difference in video length between the MangaUK and Funimation releases when you factor out the MangaUK intro and the slight difference in FPS that makes the Manga UK version about 5 seconds shorter, this made the audio about 5 seconds longer total to sync with the Manga UK video) and delayed it by 12.481 seconds, which is what I found to best account for the MangaUK intro and match the video (took me more time to find that than I care to admit). I also mixed in the audio from the MangaUK intro into the English audio, so you don’t even notice that it isn’t official. All Lossless, no compression.
This also includes the original JP 5.1 track, along with time adjusted Funimation subs for just the signs for English audio, and subs for the whole movie from the MangaUK release.
IF YOU ARE WATCHING THE MOVIE WITH HEADPHONES OR STEREO SPEAKERS, MAKE SURE VLC IS OUTPUTTING THE SOUND AS “STEREO” INSTEAD OF “ORIGINAL” SO IT IS DOWNMIXED PROPERLY AND SOUNDS MUCH BETTER (so much it’s ridiculous). THIS IS WHY IT SOUNDED SO BAD IN CERTAIN THEATERS. To do this, in VLC click on the “Audio” tab, then “Stereo Mode”, then “Stereo”.

Here's a fansubbed/edited ASS Stylized subtitle track for the movie w/ fonts with all dub terms removed. The only problem is that someone needs to time the lines properly as they are out of sync. These are the best subtitles for the movie that exist right now. Hopefully someone can download it and put it to the Japanese BluRay.
