These are the single chapter manga releases that Viz released in comic book format back in the 1990's. As such, they were published in the left to right reading format. The quality is passable for reading on smaller tablet sizes and ranges between 908 to larger resolution size. These are the best and highest dimensions for this manga that I could find. Others are smaller, around 700-800. Additionally, when this manga was published, Viz made the decision to decide against publishing the first chapter of this manga series. According to other reviewers, this decision was made due to sex and violence, so this manga starts with chapter two. This was one of the original manga series published by Viz Media when they broke off from Eclipse International. Many of the stories are related to each other (even across books), each building upon the achievements of the previous ones. The stories are often (but not always) scientifically plausible, recalling a lot of the early science fiction of the 1950 and 1960 eras.
