Romance Dawn refers to two stories written by Eiichiro Oda before One Piece but set in a similar world. While a first-year junior high school student, he began sketching out ideas for a pirate-themed manga. Years later, he began refining his ideas into what would become "Romance Dawn", and later, One Piece. All 3 versions were published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Oda made significant alterations to the premise and plot over the course of the three chapters. Version 1 was adapted into an animated retelling called One Piece: Romance Dawn Story, while Version 2 was adapted as Episode 907 of the One Piece anime which aired on October 20, 2019. Romance Dawn Version 2 refers to the second version of a series known as Romance Dawn. The second version of "Romance Dawn" is 45 pages long, and was originally published in the Weekly Jump of 1996 issue #41 on 23 September. It has since been reprinted, along with a page of author commentary, in the Eiichiro Oda early-works compilation WANTED! It was adapted into as Episode 907 of the One Piece anime that aired on October 20, 2019. This is One Pace's edit of the episode.
