This looks and sounds far worse than the average "mini-encode" aiming for around the 100MB mark. Who encoded this and can they be instructed not to in future?
The audio is particularly baffling, given it comes in AAC, which is a lossy codec superior to MP3, in the first place. Re-encoding it makes no sense and this sounds far worse than even a normal lossy to lossy re-encode. It's even the same bitrate as the source audio.
Encoding is not our core business, we mainly focus on running communities and representing them on various social media sites. However, we will constantly look at what we can improve, even if our time is limited.
With respect, why did you encode this? [A raw went up 8 hours earlier](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1235181) which was of normal quality. It would be one thing if there were no other release or this had an advantage of some kind, but along with "How?" I find myself honestly asking "Why?"
What video source even was this? I notice it includes ads (for some reason), but I can't imagine any kind of normal encode from the transport stream having this little detail.
As stated in the description, we plan to release the next episode earlier, so this upload was done for the sake of completeness. It includes ads from the anime in question, as we think it is also great to show advertisements for the respective franchise. All other commercials unrelated to Mewkledreamy were cut out.
