Run it in a VM if you feel it's unsafe. It's always a good idea to have a VM handy when you're downloading things.
I played this game using Wine on Linux. It also works on VirtualBox and I didn't notice any weirdness.
The AV probably detected it since it's a pirated game. It happens with all kinds of games.
As for the website, it's full of intrusive Russian ads, so it's not surprising. You need uBlock origin to navigate it properly.

Always open websites with uBlock and open sketchy things in VM first.
