The original release of Kanon from 1999 (BIN/CUE files, the music is CD audio). Be warned, the music only seems to work properly on Win9x (wish I knew of a way to get it to work on newer OSs though). Also, no English or voice patches that I know of will work on this because of how ancient it is. Still wanted to upload it in case anyone was curious or wanted to get the OG Kanon experience. Feel free to contact on Twitter (@srlMhmd).
This can play music correctly from the mounted CD image:
https://github.com/dippy-dipper/cdaudio-winmm
but the playback of the current track won't resume if you minimize and restore the game's window (if you play in windowed mode).
DxWnd will resume, but it doesn't support playback of real/emulated CDs so you will have to rip the music in one of supported formats (e.g.Ogg) and place the ripped tracks into Music folder starting from track02.ogg (not 01). The entire DxWnd is not needed, just these files (+ Music folder) are enough if you place them in the game folder:
https://sourceforge.net/p/dxwnd/discussion/general/thread/255e0ff888/
Also, if you're ripping music with foobar2000, track name format "track$num($add(%tracknumber%,1),2)" without quotes will make the files start from 02 (track02.ogg etc. as needed, not from the default index 01).
_inmm.dll can also play music from a mounted image.
Though you need to know Japanese to read the documentation and learn how to do it. That's surely a hurdle for some.
