man, this audio quality is something i'd expect from a 1.5 GB torrent. the only other working torrent on this site has english titles, which is a comparatively small price to pay.

A few years late but the "pop-up" subtrack seems to be some kind of added information from someone/something? I haven't watched past the first episode but 8:47 has a moment where "No More Accent!" pops up in a speech bubble coming from a drawing of a cat and only on those subs (both in English and Japanese). So I imagine it's probably best to keep it on since it seems to be like fun TL notes (or possibly notes from the mangaka themself?)

Was hoping there would have been a better encode of this gem, alas this encode pales in comparison to the 2019 480 dvd encode. The bluray's are obvious DVD up-scales to 720p and also terribly done. Part of the image is cropped, overly sharpened to give the impression of better quality, but huge loss of details and blurry backgrounds compared to the dvd encode. To make matters worse, this release has duplicate audio and subtitle tracks for both languages and is bit-rate starved on both video and audio. Get the 2019 one...
