can i ask what's the difference between this batch and the one you uploaded in the morning?
as in i dont know what x265 and x264s are and these bit rates too. hahah, but i sort of wanna know
rabiazubair x264 and x265 are two different tools that encode videos into the H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC video coding formats, respectively. The latter is newer, hence the higher number, and theoretically produces better compression results for the same video quality, but it depends on what you're encoding and quality are aiming for.
There's also the bit depth difference where the x264's the standard 8 bits and this one's 10 bits, meaning that this one has more colors per frame which mainly helps in areas where there is a lot of one color on the frame, like let's say a black shadow taking up half the frame, and reduces the amount of artifacts that may appear in that area.
So essentially what you're getting here is the same quality as the x264 one, but at about half the file size. The trade off being less device compatibility with this one since HEVC is newer and potentially due to the bit depth, but if you're watching on your computer or phone, then both should play just fine.
ooh i get it (ig) haha, thanks
i was actually reluctant in downloading this one even tho the size was intriguing me. because a few weeks back i asked someone why at times the video starts to have grey blocks and the audio vieo starts buffering and eventually i have to stop the video they answered with how maybe my laptop is not able to handle HEVC.
but then i noticed some HEVC seemed to be working fine. and then i thought maybe 1080ps are heavy and 720ps are fine. LOL, at this point i dont know if anything i'm saying makes sense, as i am a total illiterate in this field.but lately ive been trying to pry and figure out which ones shall i download and which not to
