Dragon Quest is drenched in grain as part of the show's cel-invoking composite, so it has been retained to honor the artistic intent. As a result, the average file size is rather large to maintain this look, as grain is exceptionally bitrate-hungry. The web streams alone are 2GB, so to have compressed the Blu-ray in half down to ~3.5GB per episode with little loss took some doing, and we're very pleased with the results. Someone may make a tiny degrained or mushy version, but this release is for those after the intended look.
There are two subtitle tracks on offer - one featuring the official translation with all of its localized terms in tact, typeset, and edited to fix typos and mistranslations. The other is an extensive overhaul that restores all of the names, spells, and various other terminology back to their Japanese counterpart or an accurate English equivalent. [This has likewise been typeset wonderfully.](https://imgur.com/a/kOTNmY5)

~~Volume 2 has already released, so once we get our hands on that, we'll get to work on releasing that ASAP. Enjoy!~~ We now have Vol 2 and are working on it.

*If you run into any errors with the release, please note them down below.*
If you happened to be one of the three people who downloaded the initial launch when it was up for about an hour, you'll want to grab this again. I typo'd 92 instead of 192 for the audio bitrate the first time around.
Sorry to bother on an unrelated release, I commented on the latest Boruto one but that was released a while ago so I have no idea if you'll look at the comments for it again. ^_^''
I was just wondering, would you be okay with me using your Boruto encodes for my releases? I do the current episodes, but I did used to do the first lot (stopped at 33 cause the team kinda fell apart at the time), so we were going to catch up with the backlog with BD encodes.
My encoder did the first 16 before he started having troubles and had to postpone (he lives in myanmar, really shitty situation over there right now), and his encodes are very similar to yours, HEVC etc, so if you didn't mind, I'd absolutely love to get your permission to use them.
It'll be typeset, timed, edited (I don't have a TLC but I use my limited knowledge and the japanese closed captions to try and fix any mistakes and whatnot) have KFX and such put in, I just don't know anything about encoding, and our current encoder is far too busy to do anything beyond the current web episodes.
@Xirix Sure, no problem. Though if you're willing to keep the dub included, I might be down to encode all the released Blu-rays so far. I had dropped off of my own releases due to working alone at the time.
