Thanks!
I do notice how the brightness in all releases have been low. Is it because the way the movie was made in HDR? What about just regular 1080p BD. Will that be better for those who don't have HDR monitors?
@SomaHeir
I would say let's stay in SDR version for now, for who don't have 4k monitor just Grab the 1080p Remux version cuz non of encode releases fix the problems
i hope like Beatrice-Raws can a encode for this show
What did you do with the HDR to SDR conversion that the blacks ended up looking this crushed? It looks mostly fine otherwise so I'm a bit puzzled how only one part is not good. I did a conversion for myself and the colors came out near identical to the 1080p bd release. I used the same source too.
Edit: Did you do PQ (ST 2084) to gamma 2.4 instead of PQ to Rec.709 gamma so it came out different because there wasn't a linear part in the blacks before the gamma 2.4 part of the curve?
i want to clarify i did not encode this i just remux the video from [LowPower-Raws] audio & subs from Violet.Evergarden.The.Movie.2020.UHD.BluRay.REMUX.2160p.TrueHD.Atmos.7.1.DV.HEVC-CHPOSTALCOMPANY sad to say the uploader of the video soucre are gone idk what happened why he / she removed it
