As far as we know, *Idol Land PriPara* is still scheduled to start in a couple of months. In the meantime they announced episode 2 would also get a web pre-release, and apparently it has. Audio commentary not included this time due to complications syncing the video track.

Idol Land Pripara features a couple of new protagonists for you to root for but all the characters around them are older ones from Pripara S1-S3 and Idol Time Pripara.
You could classify this as a "fanservice series", not in the sense of literal fanservice, but in the sense that it's always doing references and throwbacks to older Pripara entries, it's more of a nostalgia ride, giving a chance for them to revisit older characters and maybe explore them a bit more.
In other words it's basically Pripara season 5, I would at least recommend to watch Pripara seasons 1 to 3, it's a great show though so no need to be turned off by the length.
