# Higurashi - When They Cry (2006)
| Video | Audio | Subtitle |
| ------------- |-------------| -------------|
| BDMV Remux\* | Track 1: Japanese BD Audio, FLAC 16bit, compression level 12 | Full Subtitles 1111 & RedSuisei |
| Resolution (Native) 720x480p | Track 2: English BD Audio, FLAC 24bit, compression level 12 | Signs/Songs 1111 & RedSuisei |
| Resolution (Scaled) 864x480p** | Track 3: German BD Audio, FLAC 24bit, compression level 12*** |
Subtitles:
I took 1111 with the RedSuisei fixes since they were based off of Fuktlogic (and in the end it's basically Fuktlogic.)
A seperate Signs/Songs subtitle is also included. (not that there are many signs to begin with)
Tagging:
Everything was tagged according to the seadex muxing standarts.
\* 10th anniversary BD which is 480i
** Blame Zewia (shitty quote "The BD has to follow NTSC Spec when the correct PAR doesn’t follow any spec, and getting proper PAR should be your priority over a "standard" DAR")
tl;dr proper PAR via container metadata
*** German is there for the meme.

Additional Notes:
This is a remux because I couldn't be bothered doing anything to the video itself, if anyone thinks he can fix the IVTC, Deband, AA etc. feel free to do so. In the meantime I'll be working on the next parts of the series.
Batch:
A complete batch will be uploaded when I have made every part of the series (ni, nekogoroshi-hen (OVA), kai, rei, gou and sotsu) and it'll also have a dual-audio release).
How to watch:
Deband and turn on de-interlacing in MPV and it's perfectly watchable unless you're completely autistic, if that is the case, referr to the above note.
BuT mUh OpUs / oMg FlAc iS sUcH bLOaT:
Encode it to OPUS yourself, here's a bash script:
`
for file in *.mkv;do
ffmpeg -n -i "${file%.*}.mkv" -map 0 -c:v copy -c:a:0 libopus -b:a 128k -c:a:1 libopus -b:a 128k -c:a:2 libopus -b:a 128k -c:s copy "${file%.*}.FLAC.mkv"
done`
