Comparison to encoded versions?
Based Remux > Encode moment
@Mizz141 nice meme comment moment
This is probably your worst torrent. Not only because of pointless bloat, but because all these bytes are thrown at this pedo show.
I wish you people would consider providing comparisons to attempt to justify a nearly 4x size increase
ig EMBER did it before right? anyway thanks
> Expecting Ember to get anything right
>I wish you people would consider providing comparisons to attempt to justify a nearly 4x size increase no one here posts comparisons. most people probably don't even do them. they just assume one encode is better than another based on who encoded it.
Thank you for the Full Season, here are some comparisons between JPBD Remux, ReinForce, and MTBB: [Comparisons](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ) Unfortunately most people don't have time to compare between each release.
@friendevil22 thanks for taking the time, pretty big difference imo
> here are some comparisons between JPBD Remux, ReinForce, and MTBB: Comparisons What an exact Comparison
Watching on a BD remux is not a mistake for this show. One of the few shows I'd ever say that for. Note though that there is some noticeable banding during some flashback scenes, which my encodes do fix.
Unless you have cinema at home i hardly believe the minuscule amount of visible bonus detail (grain?) is worth it. I doubt it'll even be noticeable to most people.
grain is always worth it

>Unless you have cinema at home i hardly believe the minuscule amount of visible bonus detail (grain?) is worth it. I doubt it’ll even be noticeable to most people. Motbob is contradictory man. Sometimes he defends his bit-starved encodes saying he can't see any difference even though the difference is night and day and now he's saying BDRemux is a good idea even though in this case actually 99.9% people cannot tell the difference between this BDRemux and Raws-Maji encode even though latter is 1/4th the size.
It's not contradictory at all. I don't second-guess what people want to watch. I don't think that people who download huge-ass properly filtered encodes are stupid or wrong. I'm happy that there are competent muxes out there for people who want them. When I bitch about high-bitrate lovers, it's in the context of them telling me that my releases are too small. tl;dr -- People download huge encodes: great. People telling me I have to release on huge encodes: not great.
This is not filtered so your point is moot. Not only that. but you still didn't answer why this is the only show you'd ever consider for a BDremux. It also contradicts your previous points about offering the highest quality release, too. Unless you are watching anime on an actual cinema setup at home, what is the point of all this bloat?
I'm not really sure why you're arguing about this when you are not, by your own admission, able to see fairly blatant differences in quality between releases. To answer the question of why a bd remux is good for this show in particular, it's just that it benefits a lot from the extreme bitrate (due to the heavy grain) and does not benefit much from any kind of filtering whatsoever in the vast majority of scenes. It's very rare for either of those things to be true, let alone both. A raws-maji release of cour 2 could end up being better than bd remux in every way, but that release doesn't exist yet. So for now, bd remux is the best-available release for viewers with certain preferences (specifically, someone who is willing to live with some banding in a dozen or fewer scenes in exchange for grain preservation).
I am definitely arguing that people aren't able to tell the difference during normal reproduction, even with a better setup than mine. I haven't seen any comparison (because no one provided one), but I am for sure not downloading 6 GB of this shit just to do them. And as I always say, even if I were to see minuscule pixel peeping differences between the remux and your encode, I am still convinced 90% of the people cannot really tell the difference in motion.
>Watching on a BD remux is not a mistake for this show. One of the few shows I’d ever say that for. This goes for like every cel anime BD that isn't fucked (which granted aren't a lot), but it's really not that rare for things that are really grainy.
Based Remux > Encode moment? Who gives a fuck about video "re-encodes"? As some might know I hate fucking around with raw video off a bluray-you can tell me about me about haloing, video noise of various types, filtering and any other bullshit you care to bring up and you know what? I don't care, I do my own remuxing from bdmv or bd remux sources, I don't mess around with the video or the audio although I will decode flac back to pcm. I'll modify subtitles and edit them as necessary and if there is an english dub I leave out the japanese audio. If what I'm working with is subbed only and there are multiple audio tracks I only include the primary audio. In other words-pure video and audio with no alterations or modifications, custom subs and whatever else I deem necessary-no added shit.
> And as I always say, even if I were to see minuscule pixel peeping differences between the remux and your encode, I am still convinced 90% of the people cannot really tell the difference in motion. OK, but who cares? I don't want people coming into my torrents saying that my releases are "too small," and likewise I don't go into other people's torrents and talk about how they're "too big." People can choose whatever size/quality tradeoff they want, as long as the bigger size really does mean better quality. EDIT: [comparisons](https://slow.pics/c/Ex8mhNn5)
Yeah, to me the increase in quality is so negligible that's irrelevant. I hope people who watch this have 70' 4k monitors or something.
I am surprised no one has reported this but the last 10 seconds of the japanese audio in episode 23 cuts out.
@motbob, your releases are always bitrate-starved and you use AAC over FLAC for 1080p. @Lulu, great release as per usual! Archival quality, will rewatch with this since I watched WEB. Great job for using the forced tag for Signs & Songs. And, it's Signs AND Songs, not Signs/Songs. That would mean Signs OR Songs.
I watched this and I didn't notice any banding like motbob mentioned. This is definitely the best release around. Better than OZR's who changed the terms.
All the buttfucks who think that "re-encoding" makes it look better are retarded morons. I hate anything but raw video and audio off the bluray-and who give a flying fuck about japanese audio? I sure don't, if it's dubbed that's how I watch it.
Dubs are cancer. This is much better than encoded versions because it retains the grain.
Please seed, thank you!
