An old release I had saved up on my drive. It's old so it uses zxx over eng - forced and parentheses around group tags instead of brackets. It's a dual audio mux featuring encodes sourced from sergey_krs (XDCC) and modified Commie subtitles. I resampled the script, retimed it to fit the BD and did some light QC. The retiming isn't from scratch and the script is based on Funimation, so the timing is pretty bad for some segments. Most of it isn't that bad. Still could use a nice retiming, which I don't know how to do. I made this because hchcsen's release was missing some lines and had no Italics. The script flows better than hchcsen's concoction too. If you notice any issues, let me know. The OVA is just taken from hchcsen's release, since Commie didn't do the OVA. Now seeding with 10Gbit bandwidth.
__Update__: ~~A v2 is in the works. It will utilize FFF, GotWoot and Commie for the best release possible.~~

Mysteria is very good. Kaorism had better typesetting than this, but his script is worse overall. And, isn't this good enough? If Mysteria ever releases this, I will link it as a better release.
It's easier to select, but you can select eng - forced using `subs-with-matching-audio=no` in mpv. Also, eng - forced makes more sense because zxx means no linguistic content.
@jiilvalentine, what's lazy about this? I didn't just mux, I worked on the subs. And Commie has the best complete subs for this show. I wouldn't exactly call this a low-effort mux, not that there's anything wrong with them.
@herkz, I did some QC. What's the shitload of work they need?
in the first half of s1 it's spelled as yuki, second half it's yukki. it's even inconsistent in a single episode.
episode 17 for instance:

just because yuno put more emphasis on his name doesn't mean it needs to be spelled with two k's. the names would have to be changed to be consistent, and there is a multitude of other issues.
@Ingenioussubs, most of this uses "Yuki". Someone reported timing issues with the opening subs missing and the dialogue being ahead for only the first episode. Did you notice that? Also, is it true that you're working on this? Please report all the issues you find and I'll v2 to fix them. Also, let me know if you know how to time it. If yes, we could do a joint release if you'd like.
@herkz, the TS is arguable. Kaorism looks more sophisticated but has less legibility.
And here I am wondering if Final8 (Static-Subs / IB) still have non hardsubbed work files after all these years sitting on a hard drive somewhere. This show is doomed to always be broke in some way..
Edit: Actually it might not be as impossible to find and hardsubbed as originally thought. I found some subs of IB on AnimeTosho archived still, alive under [IB]. [SS] is properly dead but might find them buried in some xdcc somewhere or can take the SS dialogue from Final8's release. As far as I know, they just made some minor changes to IB's sign text to match SS + took the OP/ED, then hardsubbed it. So tracking down IB signs would be the bulk of all hardsubbed concerns.

You mean for the episodes FFF didn't do? FFF claims to have used GotWoot and their subs on animetosho seem to be archived. Unless they did their own TS as well. They just never finished with releasing all volumes. All these different groups to track down...
Apparently GotWoot's TL quit half way through and started trolling? Going off old Crymore archives & AniDB comments. (Haven't checked old MAL fansub reviews). So if anyone does track it down, may need to TLC it against the alternatives (Static-Subs). Or use GotWoot's dialogue (not hardsubbed) and signs from [IB] if it can be found - if not OCRing and redoing all TS manually.
You could combine with Commie TS and replace the troll dialogue with Commie as well. If you ever feel like doing that, post it here so I can upload it.

As I was saying at some point, my issue is not having a good/consistent script to work with. The typesetting may be a bitch, but I'd say most modern Slice of Life anime are way more cancerous to typeset. Besides, if I could do it, any real typesetter could.
You really should have someone TLC & compare the entire script, not just rely on a comment for a single troll report. Especially if it's likely there is [more funny business](https://www.crymore.net/2012/01/01/fansub-review-gotwoot-mirai-nikki-episode-07/#comment-6303) past that point. Also if you are adding GotWoot TL, you may want to consider adding Static-Subs as an alt track (from Final8) since some opinions may find it better, or at least check it. I haven't done a comparison yet and it's been a decade since this show came out though, so 🤷.

the only thing that makes this show impossible is that it's just not good enough for anyone that actually knows how to sub shit to care at all about it.
@Simplistic Just the subs for the IB signs, so Final8 can finally be de-hardsubbed for the most part.
@HachiRokuNiSanKyu You can still check it. It's possible it was only that one incident and may overall be better than Commie dialogue. Or don't TLC and just include both for alternative sub choices.

If it's worth archiving and replacing what I have, sure. Though probably wait until I finish the de-hardsubbed final8 so you have an alt sub choice if you are still going ahead with yours plans of a commie merge.
It's absolutely bonkers that this over-decade-old show has yet to receive a single proper release that isn't hardsubbed shit. Every time someone tries, they seem to give up halfway through. I know the series is trash, but I've seen (and encoded) way trashier series that had better softsubs than this ever got.
Over a decade-old show, yet it hasn't received a single release that can be classified as a definitive release. We absolutely need a v2 (proper release) that this anime deserves.
@Mabby it appears like most of the "trolling" was focused over one "NSFW" sign and that's it. People also kept getting confused between GotSpeed and GotWoot which didn't help matters.
