I first downloaded this one year ago ( Literally one year ago. Jan 1st 2022.) [ak-Submarines] did the translations and they are FAR superior to whatever Crustyroll/Fuckumation script you scraped from. You should consider trying to get those scripts and issuing a re-release. Hey it LOOKS great, but seriously, the ak-Submarines script is much better at accuracy and nuance. Quick example:

They capture the flavor of the of Japanese dialog and delivery better. Much of the humor DEFINITELY hits better. Hey. It isn't just you. The fansub community as a whole just seems to be of lower standards and lower quality than, say, 15 years ago. Even 10 years. All the greats have either aged out of fandom [unheard of!!! LOL] or else real life just consumes the extra time.
And the modern streaming ecosystem has also affected the community. I sure do miss getting the Japanese broadcast versions. I miss the opening sponsorship callouts to Bandi, Pony Canyon, Geneon, P&G, Konami, etc. I miss stuff like the Morning Rescue commercials at the beginning of Hayate no Gotoku, the tsunami warning scrolling across the screen during episode 9 of Madoka Magica, the Japanese network tics that allowed me to stream Strike Witches and K-ON! even though Fuckumation served me with a cease-and desist (arbitration deemed the the version I was streaming was not their version. LOL). I MISS THOSE COWBOY DAYS!
RIP: Chihiro, Exiled-Destiny, Coalgirls, Loli-pop, Underwater, UTW, SHiN-gx, EveTaku, and so so many others.
