!) First of all, my disc has been slightly bronzed which can be seen in the scan images and the audio exhibits audible disc rot artifacts. I used iTunes to rip uncompressed then encoded it to FLAC. When I tried to use EAC it got stuck with error correction so then I tried to rip without and it produced worse results than my iTunes rip. When I tried to redo it with EAC again, about a week had passed so I'm assuming it could be the rotting getting worse. The artifacts don't drown out the audio too aggressively when compared to other examples of bad rotting that I've heard. I'm lucky it's not worse but this is the best I'm able to do with my own disc. The above image is my unfinished work of "cleaning" the image with Photoshop. I chose not to include it with the files since obviously it's unfinished but it was taking me way too long as well. I didn't want to sit on this forever since my main goal is to see if anyone else has a clean rip or undamaged CD available to help keep the music alive so that it's not lost to time. I saw that at one point the TSDM website had a rip named [EAC/自抓自扫][BD][861121][若草恵 - OVA 「 アウトランダーズ」 オリジナルサウンドトラック][WAV+CUE+LOG+BK][758M] which I found [here](https://www.tsdm39.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=798441#:~:text=%E8%87%AA%E6%8A%93%E8%87%AA%E6%89%AB%5D%5BBD%5D%5B861121%5D%5B%E8%8B%A5%E8%8D%89%E6%81%B5%20%2D%20OVA%20%E3%80%8C-,%E3%82%A2%E3%82%A6%E3%83%88%E3%83%A9%E3%83%B3%E3%83%80%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BA,-%E3%80%8D%20%E3%82%AA%E3%83%AA%E3%82%B8%E3%83%8A%E3%83%AB%E3%82%B5%E3%82%A6%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%88%E3%83%A9%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%5D%5BWAV%2BCUE%2BLOG%2BBK%5D%5B758M%5D%0A%5BEAC) but I can't find the actual files anywhere. This CD was also the catalyst that finally got me to setup my scanner again after about four years. I plan to actually use it now for rare things like this. It's just standard document size so unfortunately I can't do any Laserdisc scans for example right now.

1986... definitely understandable. I had something with VDR-1601 from 1989 where apparently one track wasn't exactly ripped right but it still reported as "no errors occurred". Apparently it's something that required "C2 pointers" or something but being that I began in 2020 idk anything about that or what kind of equipment works for it. (I also had some trouble with another 1986 CD, namely the first soundtrack of the G1 movie) Meanwhile, for this CD, has using CueRipper to do it crossed your mind?
You could try cueripper in both secure and burst mode. I have a few of very early CDs from 1982 and 1983 made in the Philips pressing plant in Hanover and they've held up surprisingly well, but I'm assuming their time is coming.

I couldn't get AccuareRip to work for this with EAC or Foobar2000. I thought that it's supposed to be able to replace bad samples with correct ones but in this case I'm sure almost all samples would have to be replaced. Thanks for the info, I haven't tried that software before so I could give it a shot.
Ironically the LP version of this album is really cheap on discogs marketplace of all places (stuff is usually overpriced as hell there), and if the CDs for this album are rotting may be the next best option.

Thanks for the heads up, I might have to take a look at that. At the time the CDs that were deemed "good" or better condition on Amazon JP were priced higher than I'd want in hopes that it wouldn't be affected by the degradation. It currently says there's one "Very Good" for 3599 yen. I'm not sure if I'd want to take the chance with that or not. This one that I got was listed as "Very Good" for about 9800 yen. There's one I saw on either Europe or UK Amazon for around $40 USD but if that thing's not already dead I'm sure it'd die being sent in the postage since there isn't an option for insured priority shipping. There's also some crazy Australian on ebay selling for for about $400 USD. I hope no one buys that, I couldn't imagine going for that and the disc being rotted.
