Crunchyroll’s video (and the video of other foreign distributors, like Baha) is missing a field. That means that the image is basically 1920x540. This encode doesn’t restore the missing information, but it at least fixes the aliasing caused by the missing field. Thank you to zewia for identifying the problem. I will keep making these encodes every week until the publisher fixes the issue.

Well, thank you motbob. I hope you will keep going if episode 02 and furthers are botched that way. This is not perfect (take that hint: nnedi3 Edit: never mind ahahah yeah this is right, you can also try field=0 and complete the processing with some slight [non-destructive] aa, yes, it will be a bit blurry but you can easily compensate) but it is now pretty watchable.
