V3: Fixed a missing line in the OP for episode 27 and missing chapter tags in episode 24. Whoops. V2: We’ve redone this release with entirely new RAWs sourced from the [A.SONY] release with drastically improved video quality and none of the deinterlacing issues that plagued our own RAWs. This is an English subtitled release of the 1998 Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, also known as “Season Zero” or the Toei anime. The theatrical movie has been moved to a separate torrent due to the high likelyhood of the Kineko Video release of the movie obsoleting it soon when it is available for download and the lack of changes since the v1 release. The subtitles are based on the GX_st release for the first ten episodes and the TV-Nihon translation for episodes 11-27 and the movie, with the translation then checked and retranslated in places by ERankedLuck, and edited for spelling, grammar, and bringing in line with the official manga translation. A few onscreen card texts were taken from Yugipedia. The video is taken from the [A.SONY] RAWs, with episode 24 using some video ripped by us and audio from the ImpatientRaws releases in places to patch over noise and dropouts. The videos are encoded in 10-bit 480p H.264 with Vorbis audio with softsubs. A second release is available with hardsubs. A second subtitle track is included which uses names from the English 4Kids anime dub.
