I used a SAR of 2560:2133. The cropping command used was: `mkvpropedit "champloo 01.mkv" --edit track:v1 --set display-unit=3 --set display-width=1280 --set display-height=711 --set pixel-crop-left=5 --set pixel-crop-right=4` with `--set pixel-crop-top=2` added for episodes 9, 21-26. #### **Subtitles**: For the hydes subs, I retimed a bunch of signs, adjusted the position of a couple, and removed one in ep 20. I also snapped dialogue to keyframes to the best of my abilities. Don't expect any of the timing to be perfect. Finally, I resampled the resolution from 1920x1080 to 720x480 with manual margins 13 left, 11 right (and 5 top for some) to properly match the video. The "No Karaoke" track has no subtitles for english songs and only the english translation for japanese songs. #### **Playback**: This DVD is a "mixed scan" (partially progressive, partially telecined), and as a result, there is noticeable combing throughout the release. In order to fix this we need to convert to CFR before IVTCing as normal, which can be done with this mpv keybind: `Alt+D vf toggle dejudder;vf toggle fps=30000/1001;vf toggle fieldmatch=cthresh=12;vf toggle bwdif=mode=0:deint=interlaced;vf toggle decimate` Alternatively, you can use `deinterlace=auto`, which will get rid of more combing but lead to worse image quality. **Due to the nature of this release, you will probably see some combing no matter what.** On mpv, `blend-subtitles=yes` or `blend-subtitles=video` is necessary for correct subtitle playback.
