PP: denoise, deband, regrain [Source-Encode Comparison](https://slow.pics/c/e9XY8Gpe) --- I wanted to watch this movie but I did not like any of the existing releases so I did it myself. The source looks pretty good with just minor compression artefacting that I tried to take care of with minimal filtering. Existing encodes kind of [nuke](https://slow.pics/c/AXvDl1IE) detail because they starve the chroma or as part of their attempts to combat artefacting, but the linked example is the worst it ever gets in this encode. I threw this together in 30 minutes so there's definitely room for improvement and space savings, but at the end of the day I just wanted to watch the thing, not agonise over minute details. The subtitles are taken from TakaNishi, which itself is an edited version of whomst which is an edited version of ray. Despite that fact, I had to fix over two dozen mistakes just from looking at it in grammarly before watching, and during my watch I fixed about another dozen lines. How issues like missing words, inconsistent hyphenisation, conflating they're and their, and spelling mistakes like "reeally" made it through this many pairs of eyes is beyond me, but I'm happy I could watch this at all. I mean no ill will to the people that made the subtitles, they are clearly just inexperienced, but these subs aren't a good enough base to edit from, so I hope that a long overdue official English release will include better subtitles. As the group name implies, this is just barely "good enough". I have no plans to upload Season 3. I don't like existing encodes, and the BDMV isn't good enough for me to upload a remux, but I'm just going to be watching it with a self-made remux myself. I'm already doing other encodes for another show I want to watch, so I don't have time to run any more for this series. --- Video: HEVC 1920x1080 Audio: Opus 2.0 192kbps jpn, Opus 5.1 420kbps jpn Subtitles: English Chapters: Yes

In my (whomst) defense, it was a min-effort release done in about an hour to just make it watchable--there's a reason I posted it as a comment instead of a torrent. I'm not sure if you comped the subs, but Ray subs were pretty horrendous with ridiculous styling, random lines randomly positioned, CC-style brackets, lots of incorrect punctuation and capitalization, typos, etc. My release wasn't actually watched or QCed before I posted it because I wasn't sure when I'd get the chance to watch it--I was just attempting to unfuck it a bit. I'm also pretty sure I did run a spellcheck (definitely missed reeally though), although in hindsight I should've run it through Grammarly too. It also seems that TakiNishi didn't fix any errors (from the editing perspective at least), and just added honorifics. But either way, thanks for the release, glad someone finally got round to putting in a bit more effort.
Maison Yatsura when?
