Phenomenal release. Thank you all so much for your painstaking work. The results were certainly worth it.

OP is still a WIP

I’m in awe of the complexity of effects and the end result is perfection. An absolute masterpiece of skill. Sliding away she sheen on the text without being able to use any clipping to retain the blur, or even any simple A-B motion tween scripts because it strictly must follow the contours of the font below. Even all the chemical shapes drawn from scratch, somehow possible despite the shapes having no inner face and being full of non-closed free lines, which I’d have sworn you’d have made a custom font for, but didn’t. I can’t imagine all the time spent calcing positions of everything in python/excel to pull this off. A near perfect approximation of the JP effects despite the limits of the tools. You absolute madman.

@fibre (I’m the kfx-er, but Sam is bad at crediting people from ep1 onwards) (edit: he added the credits to all eps after I complained)
In short, what I did was getting the svg for a bunch of molecular formulas from this site: https://www.chemspider.com/AdvancedSearch (searched by average mass to get the molecule complexity I wanted), and preprocessed them with a python script to remove complex SVG element, and only keep paths. Piped them through svg2ass, and just exported it in the format of a lua array to use in the kfx template. Regarding the shapes, you’re giving too much credits. They’re actually non-closed shapes, only lines, so libass wouldn’t render them visible by default, and I just put a 1 pixel wide border on them.
If you can find me in a discord server (like GJM), I can explain more about it, if you want.
