1080p @ 444 means sacrificing about 75% of the luma that is present, and again for watching it ok 4K screen it will be upscaled so no gain in my opinion

The 4K version was upscaled from 1080p 4:4:4 10bit. However, the upscaling was done very carefully with newest technologies, so you can expect much better quality than "normal" upscale. But yes, it is still an upscale, not native 4K.

@matt, and @ binlintin, you should be able to play BD disks just fine. But I do not think 4k version is playable as it is encrypted.

@DDR786 no key is available at this time... unless there is an exploit like on The Smurfs 2 4k UHD Disk, I do not think we are going to be able to play 4k disk anytime soon.

@Tallulah, It is pretty much the same for everyone bud. I have uploaded 1.5 of torrent when I finished. The only thing encrypted is the 4k disk. Everything else is watchable by VLC or PowerDVD

Yes THE 1080p file has been professionally converted and 10 bit color grading has been done with HDR. Thats what we are waiting for, a crack for the true 10 bit version. DDR and friends are working on along with OPK.

It's better to compress some blu ray extras, including. Disc 1 - First bonus disc comes with complete plans commented by Makoto Shinkai and making-of documentary (1 hour). Disc 2 - Second bonus disc contains Ryunosuke Kamiki (Taki character voice actor) Mone Kamishiraishi (Mitsuha character voice actress) and RADWINPS comments. Includes unused voice material, intro theme without credit, Suntory water advertisement, "Your Name" music video edition. Disc 3 - Third bonus disc features "Kimi no Na wa (Your Name") story and scenes explained by Makoto Shinkai. Also comes with event video footage.
