We use CRF 18, a high-quality bitrate setting that is a standard recommendation on Doom9 (the expert encoding forum). Rest assured that this video will look perfectly fine even when watched closely on a large screen. CRF 18 avoids pointlessly bloating bitrate for virtually no gain, so you get a great balance of quality and size.
[Audio quality]
This encode uses FLAC, which is lossless but also very large. For virtually the same quality at a much lower filesize, request for a [Small] encode instead on our discord, which uses lossy AAC encoding to strike a better balance. (The video in both encodes is identical.)

Not at all, if I were you would have seen blocks all over, now stop bashing me and stop making yourself look bad.
I never come close to the UBER oversized beatrice raws encodes (Most of the time are just remuxes), but I never wanted to go for this.
So stop bashing, me and others also.
also you could've just not chosen a worst case scenario and seen that it is mostly just fine, viewer perspective you won't notice when the motion is busy playing, I concur it's not as close to the source as beatrice is but I just try to go as high as possible with at least reasonable encoding times and file sizes.
Flac is part of this the original sound tracks are 80% of the time just Losless Audio streams as uncompressed as WAV audio, Flac takes the brunt of this and makes it at least 50% smaller if not more.
Visually most people won't notice certain unnoticeable changes or artefacts I know this as I've tried to distinguish them, on still frames it is possible to notice.
sound in the contrary is ways more prelevant and should not be lossy as this introduces a depth of the series more than you would think.
HEVC doesn't fall apart into blocks when it's bitstarved, it smooths.
That's wasn't a cherry picked worst case. I let the video roll a couple seconds and then I looked, and hey, Nep_Blanc was bitsatrved! You're bitstarved there. You've been bitstarved in every encode I've looked at.
If you have to use, "The viewer is blind," as an excuse for you encodes, then only blind people should be watching them.
And again I have to say to you no bitstarvation you're just butt hurt and can't seem to cope that I also just commented on you.
Stop the bashing already and get a life leave me alone as you said already that my encodes are not good enough for you to use in your copy cat releases, well all the better because if you did I would have reported all of those somewhere else.
Tester here, I rechecked audio streams for this anime, it is syncing correctly with the video, and/or any dubbing in this encode should be synced correctly with the video as well.
